About Us

Our Aim

MusicAtTheEdge aims to create an inclusive community of musicians of all ages and abilities, providing them with a safe and supportive space to develop their skills and express themselves through music.

The Edge Acoustic Band

For over a decade, MusicAtTheEdge has been offering free drop-in music workshops at YES Brixham.

Our large jamming sessions on Thursdays from 3 – 5pm and Drum Circle on Mondays from 12 – 2pm are perfect for beginner to intermediate players of all ages and abilities. We also host a rock band jam night every Thursday from 6 – 9pm for intermediate to advanced players aged 16 – 25.

MusicAtTheEdge delivers quarterly live gigs where our musicians and local acts come together for evenings of live music.

Our media department creates regular content for our social media pages, including music videos, live-streamed events, music theory vlogs, music production workshops, interviews, and short films.

Youth music band

Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for anyone to develop their skills and confidence while joining a like-minded community of musicians.

We have a diverse stock of instruments available for anyone interested in trying something new, from drum kits to djembes, guitars to keyboards, and ukuleles.

MusicAtTheEdge is a flagship project at YES Brixham. The charity offers information, advice and support, as well as a range of well-being activities like yoga, arts and crafts, and food banking.

We also offer volunteering opportunities for those interested in learning more about the creative music industry. Our volunteers have gone on to study music, find employment in local theater technical roles, and launch successful careers as professional musicians.
